MARY HARGARTEN, MSW, LCSW, LMFT
Mary is dually licensed as both a Clinical Social Worker and a Marriage and Family Therapist. She works with individuals, couples and families. She is easy-going, warm and compassionate and really cares about her clients as unique individuals. She creates a safe environment in the therapeutic setting for the clients to explore the changes they want to make in their lives. She is committed to helping her clients move toward happier, more fulfilling lives.
Mary has been working on relationship issues with both married and engaged couples for many years. She has led many marriage enrichment weekends helping couples stimulate and improve their relationships. She also works with engaged couples doing marriage preparation work. She works with a local domestic abuse shelter helping women who have been abused. She also helped develop and co-leads Partners in Parenting, a 12-week parenting class that helps parents understand how domestic violence affects their children and teaches them co-parenting skills. Mary has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Post-graduate Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Therapy Training Institute in Milwaukee.
