Monica is a graduate student intern at CPA, completing her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin. 

Sometimes life can be tough, and therapy can be a helpful tool in navigating those tough times. Monica strives to create a welcoming environment characterized by acceptance, empathy, and empowerment while infusing a bit of humor when appropriate. Monica believes that people are the experts of their own lives, and as such are active participants in the therapeutic process. Through the therapeutic relationship, Monica will help you to achieve the growth you desire. Monica is open to working with individuals aged 7 through adulthood.

As a former teacher, Monica understands child and adolescent development and the unique problems they face, incorporating play therapy techniques when working with children. Monica utilizes a holistic, strengths-based approach that considers each person’s uniqueness, tailoring treatment to best serve each client as an individual.
