What is Sandplay Therapy?
Sandplay Therapy is a deeply therapeutic, nonverbal, and symbolic approach to healing that allows individuals to express and explore their inner world using miniature figures and a sandbox. Rooted in Jungian psychology and developed by Dora Kalff, it provides a safe space for the psyche to express itself when words are not enough.
Clients create scenes in a tray of sand using a variety of miniatures—people, animals, symbols, and objects—allowing unconscious thoughts, feelings, and conflicts to surface organically. Through these scenes, clients begin to process emotional pain, trauma, and unresolved experiences in a way that feels safe, creative, and meaningful.
