Amie Vetscher, MS, MA, LPC-IT
Practices in Menomonee Falls

I believe healing and growth happen in the context of safe, supportive relationships. My goal is to create a warm, engaging, and accepting environment where children and their families feel understood, valued, and empowered. Through collaboration, empathy, and validation, I work alongside clients to foster emotional growth, strengthen relationships, and build lasting resilience. I recognize that every child and family has unique strengths, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs and goals.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic, attachment-based, and experiential therapies, viewed through a developmental lens. I strongly believe in the power of co-regulation, helping children learn emotional regulation skills by experiencing them within a safe therapeutic relationship. Together, we work to create a sense of felt safety, build self-efficacy, and develop a positive sense of self. Through this process, children gain confidence in expressing emotions, navigating challenges, and forming healthy, authentic relationships.

In addition to a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I hold a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction and am a former educator. I bring a deep understanding of child development, learning differences, and the challenges children face across home, school, and social environments. I enjoy partnering not only with children, but also with the parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals who support them. By working collaboratively with a child’s support system, I strive to create meaningful and lasting change that extends beyond the therapy room.

I am especially passionate about supporting children and families impacted by foster care, adoption, and neurodiversity. I enjoy helping children discover their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and build secure connections with the important people in their lives. Outside of my work, I enjoy reading, creative home projects, and spending time with my adoptive family.
