Esmeralda Perez, MS, LPC-IT

Esmeralda is a psychotherapist who works with diverse populations including children, adolescents, and adults. She works with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues and trauma. She also has experience working with athletes and those experiencing medical issues such as cancer. She utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach, person-centered approach, and strength-based approach to help clients reach their individual goals.
Esmeralda is motivated to create a safe, accepting environment for clients to be vulnerable in a non-judgmental space. She believes building a strong therapeutic alliance is important and to meet the client where they are at.
Esmeralda graduated from Carthage College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Esmeralda is currently a Doctoral Student at Mount Mary University, pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
