Blog Highlight: Understanding ADHD

ADHD is about more than simply having trouble paying attention. It can affect organization, time management, impulse control, emotional regulation, motivation, and relationships. For children, teens, and adults, these challenges can make school, work, and everyday responsibilities feel overwhelming. ADHD may also contribute to frustration, anxiety, low self-esteem, and a sense of constantly trying to catch up.

The good news is that ADHD can be managed with the right support and strategies. Counseling can help individuals develop practical skills for organization, time management, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and managing impulsive behaviors. Therapy can also provide an opportunity to understand past struggles and build greater confidence in the abilities and strengths that often accompany an ADHD brain.
